Panasonic launches PAVA, a fully integrated smart voice alarm system

Panasonic Fire & Security launches PAVA, an EN 54 compliant Public Address and Voice Alarm system that combines direct integration with Panasonic fire alarm system and intelligent voice guidance to support safer evacuation and deliver long-term value.

Designed for modern buildings and complex, multi-site networked installations, Panasonic PAVA delivers clear voice guidance when it matters most. Its intelligent architecture also helps reduce hardware and installation costs, simplify maintenance and lower lifecycle costs.

Seamless integration with Panasonic’s EBL fire alarm system

At the core of PAVA is direct software integration with Panasonic’s EBL fire alarm system through monitored TCP/IP communication. Fire alarm events, zones and fault conditions are shared automatically between the two systems in real time, removing the need for external relay modules, additional cabling and complex manual programming.

This direct integration reduces the traditionally complex voice alarm system design, creating a solution that is easier to install, commission and maintain throughout its operational life.

Flexible control units for different installation requirements

Panasonic PAVA offers two control unit configurations, giving system designers the flexibility to select the most suitable solution for each project. Both options provide the same powerful EN 54-16 certified voice alarm control capabilities.

  • Wall-mounted control units. Compact and space-efficient, these units are ideal for smaller installations or sites without rack infrastructure. They can be positioned close to the protected area for straightforward local operation and management.

  • Rack-mounted control units. Designed for larger and more complex installations, these units integrate easily into existing equipment rooms and server infrastructure. They are particularly suited to multi-zone buildings and centralised control environments.

Beyond emergency voice alarm applications, PAVA also supports everyday public address and operational announcements, providing a complete communication platform for offices, hospitals, schools, transport hubs and critical infrastructure.

Smart audio technologies for clearer evacuation guidance

PAVA incorporates two smart audio technologies that help voice messages remain clear and intelligible, even in challenging acoustic conditions:

  • Adaptive Filtration (AF) adjusts the audio output according to ambient noise levels, helping maintain speech intelligibility in demanding environments.
  • Speech Temporal Transposition (STTA) automatically shortens hesitations and prolonged sounds in live announcements, helping even less experienced operators deliver clear, intelligible messages in difficult acoustic conditions.

Together, these technologies help ensure evacuation instructions are heard and understood amid noise and confusion, supporting faster, safer evacuation throughout the building.

Why Panasonic PAVA is the SMART choice

S — Seamless integration. Direct integration with the EBL fire alarm system reduces additional hardware, lowers costs and simplifies commissioning.

M — Maximum intelligibility. Adaptive Filtration and Speech Temporal Transposition help messages remain clear and understandable in challenging acoustic environments.

A — Adaptive architecture. A scalable system design adapts to projects of different sizes and levels of complexity without requiring a complete redesign.

R — Robust compliance. EN 54 certified system components support compliant design and the highest reliability throughout the project.

T — Total lifecycle value. Simplified installation and a unified platform for emergency and everyday communication help reduce costs throughout the system’s operational life

Supported by a comprehensive range of EN 54 certified loudspeakers and additional devices, Panasonic PAVA can be tailored to virtually any building or acoustic environment, delivering enhanced performance and reliability.
